What age/year groups do you teach?
RHI Tuition focuses on GCSE and A-Level Science. This includes GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Combined/Triple Science, plus A-Level Biology and Chemistry.
Which exam boards do you teach?
All major UK exam boards are welcome, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Eduqas and WJEC. Please include the student’s exam board when booking so lessons and resources can match their specification.
Do you offer online tuition?
Yes. Online tuition is available alongside face-to-face lessons in Nottingham. Online lessons provide the same personalised, exam-focused support and run through Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.
Where are face-to-face lessons held?
Face-to-face lessons take place at a private teaching space in Nottingham. The full address is shared privately after a lesson or trial is booked.
How long are lessons?
One-to-one lessons are normally one hour. Small-group sessions are two hours.
How many students are in a group?
Small-group tuition is limited to a maximum of four students. That keeps the group collaborative while leaving room for individual questions and attention.
Can my child switch between group and one-to-one tuition?
Yes. If a student’s needs change, please get in touch and we can discuss which option now fits their goals, confidence and learning style best.
How often are the group sessions?
Group sessions currently run on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Subjects and available spaces can change, so please check the current timetable on the Tuition & Pricing page or ask before booking.
Is the first lesson really free?
Yes. Free trial lessons run in bookable slots on selected dates and there is no obligation to continue. The Book page always shows the availability currently offered by the tuition provider.
What information should I include when I enquire?
Please include the parent or guardian’s contact details and the student’s name, year group, subject, exam board, tuition preference and target grade if known. It also helps to mention any areas they are finding difficult.
What happens after I book a free trial?
You will receive booking confirmation for the selected slot. After the trial lesson, you and the student can decide whether one-to-one or small-group tuition feels right. There is no obligation to continue.
Do you provide homework?
Yes, where appropriate. Tasks are short and focused on reinforcing the lesson—not busywork for the sake of it.
Will parents receive progress updates?
Yes. Parents receive updates about progress, strengths and the areas being developed, so they are not left wondering how things are going.
What equipment is needed for online lessons?
A laptop or tablet with a stable internet connection, microphone and camera. Google Meet and Microsoft Teams are both free to use.
What if I need to cancel a lesson?
Life happens. Please give as much notice as possible so the space can be reused. If scheduling becomes difficult, get in touch and we will try to find a fair arrangement.
